On a crisp autumn evening in 2009, 48-year-old Kenneth M. Thies Jr. took his dogs for a walk in the scenic Lee Falls area of western Washington County, Oregon, a routine that would tragically mark his last known moments. An avid outdoorsman, Kenneth was familiar with the area near his Cherry Grove home.
