On a cold winter day in New York, 62-year-old Jeremiah Williamson Giddings vanished from his home in the Rosedale neighborhood of Queens. The date was January 18, 2008. On that particular day, Jeremiah, also known as Jerry, had an appointment at the VA Hospital in Brooklyn. He made the trip to see his doctor and returned to his residence afterward.
