On May 3, 2012, a 21-year-old man named Pablo Murillo Alcaraz vanished in the rushing waters of the Rogue River near Union Creek, Oregon. In a harrowing moment witnessed by his own family, Pablo was seen standing along the riverbank, where he removed his shirt and shoes. The smooth rocks, slick with moisture, offered no firm footing, and he suddenly slipped, falling into the frigid river.
