On a cold February evening in 2011, 39-year-old Robert Lee Roach was last seen on Mackinac Island, Michigan. He was reportedly leaving the island on his snowmobile, a common mode of transportation for residents during the winter months when the Straits of Mackinac freeze over, creating an 'ice bridge' to the mainland city of St. Ignace.
