In the autumn of 1974, 32-year-old Christine Marie Honson, a member of the Sault Tribe, disappeared from the Grand Rapids, Michigan area. At the time, she was living in Petoskey with her husband and their three children. Her marriage was reportedly troubled, and she would occasionally leave home for short periods but had always returned.
