In the late summer of 2001, a 34-year-old woman of Ethiopian descent named Alemtsehay Gebremedhin Atsebeha vanished, leaving behind a life and a community with very few answers. On September 23, 2001, Alemtsehay, who was working as a nanny at the time, was last seen in Puyallup, Washington.
