On a cold February evening in 2000, 39-year-old Thomas Gerald Klenow and his passenger, Diane Reitler, were riding a snowmobile across the frozen expanse of Tawas Bay in Iosco County, Michigan. The crisp winter air of Friday, February 11th, turned tragic when their 1999 blue Skidoo snowmobile broke through the ice.
