In the quiet community of Deep Gap, North Carolina, the disappearance of 32-year-old Douglas Eugene Dayton on June 1, 2004, left his family with lingering questions. On that Tuesday, a family member reported that Douglas was at home, had showered, and then left. This seemingly ordinary start to the day would be the last known sighting of him.
