On a summer day in June of 2011, 70-year-old Emma Jean Duncan was on a group outing with her caregiver at the Northland Mall in Southfield, Michigan. At some point during the outing, she wandered away and vanished. Emma, a Black / African American female, was living with dementia and bipolar disorder, adding a layer of vulnerability to her sudden disappearance. At the time she went missing, she was described as being between 5'1' and 5'3' tall and weighing between 115 and 130 ...
