In the winter of 2010, concerns grew for the well-being of 39-year-old John Jeremy Biesen, a resident of Monmouth, Oregon. On January 6th, he was visiting with a friend in the coastal town of Gold Beach, Oregon. That day, John departed from Gold Beach, intending to drive back to his home in Monmouth. He was behind the wheel of his distinctive vintage car, a gold 1968 Ford XL coupe with a black vinyl top, bearing the Oregon license plate JFL826.
