In the spring of 1995, a 25-year-old Indigenous woman named Stephanie Rae Chase vanished from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The last known contact with Stephanie was a conversation she had with her mother on May 1, 1995. After that phone call, she was never seen or heard from again. Her mother reported her missing shortly after their last conversation. At the time of her disappearance, Stephanie was described as being 4'11" tall and weighing approximately 100 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. She is a member of the Lower Brule Sioux Tribe from South Dakota. Stephanie has several distinct physical characteristics that might make her identifiable. She has two piercings in each ear. Additionally, she has two tattoos: a pink flamingo on her left shoulder and a non-professionally done cross or 'X' on the right side of her right ankle. Authorities have noted that she may use the aliases Stephanie Lizarraga or Chasingbear. Despite these details, there are no publicly available photographs of Stephanie, which has made public appeals for information more challenging. Over the years, Stephanie's case has grown cold, with very few reports or leads emerging since she first disappeared. The Oklahoma City Police Department remains the point of contact for any information regarding her whereabouts. Despite the passage of time, her case remains open. The lack of new information has left her family without answers for decades. The overview of Stephanie's case is one of a sudden and unexplained disappearance, with the trail of her whereabouts going cold almost immediately after she was last in contact with her mother, leaving a lingering sense of uncertainty.
