On the evening of January 3, 2010, 38-year-old David Earl Robinson visited his mother's home in Detroit, Michigan. The purpose of his visit was to inquire about the funeral arrangements for his late aunt. At approximately 9:00 p.m., he departed from his mother's residence, intending to make a brief stop at his cousin's house before returning to his own home, where he lived with his mother. David, also known as Dave, was a Black male, standing at 6'1" and weighing around 210 pounds at the time of his disappearance. He had brown eyes and short, tapered brown hair, with a closely shaven beard and mustache. That night, he was dressed in dark-colored jeans, a distinctive black Detroit Pistons jacket with the team's logo embroidered all over it in red, white, yellow, and blue, and black Maurrys alligator shoes. He also wore diamond stud earrings in both of his pierced ears, a watch with a large face, and a gold wedding band with a diamond. David had several distinguishing physical characteristics that stemmed from a stroke he had suffered eleven years prior, at the age of 27. This event left him paralyzed on his right side, causing him to walk with a noticeable limp as he was unable to place his right foot firmly on the ground. His right hand was permanently closed in a slight fist, and his right foot was slightly clubbed. In addition to these conditions, David had a number of scars from previous medical procedures, including a small scar above the outer corner of his left eye, a three-to-four-inch horseshoe-shaped scar on the left side of his head, a scar on the left side of his chest near his heart, a long scar on his left forearm, and a scar on the back of his head from brain surgery. He had also previously fractured his jaw on the left side. Despite these physical challenges, David was independent and capable of driving his blue 1998 Mercury Grand Marquis. The night he went missing, David never made it back to his mother's house. Sometime after his disappearance, his vehicle was located by police in Dearborn, Michigan, being driven by another man. The individual was arrested, and the car was impounded. However, this discovery did not lead to answers regarding David's whereabouts. The circumstances surrounding how another person came to be in possession of his car remain unclear in publicly available information. Little information has been released about the investigation into his disappearance, and his case has grown cold over the years. David Earl Robinson has not been seen or heard from since that January night, and his case remains an unsolved and deeply concerning mystery for his family and community.
