In the historic city of Petersburg, Virginia, a young man named Michael Lesly Green, a 27-year-old student at Virginia State University, vanished without a trace on December 19, 2009. The day before his disappearance, Green had called 911 and was taken to a local hospital where he received medication and was subsequently released. He was last seen by his roommate at their residence in the 1400 block of Baylor's Lane. When morning came, Michael was gone, leaving behind his identification, keys, and cell phone, a departure his loved ones found to be entirely out of character. He has not been seen or heard from since that day. Michael, who was also known by the nicknames "MG" or "Jeezy," is described as a Black male with brown eyes who is bald. At the time of his disappearance, he stood between 6'0" and 6'2" and weighed around 220 pounds. He has several distinct tattoos that serve as identifying markers: "LA BORN" on his right arm, "NY RAISED" on his left arm, and "DMG" on the right side of his neck. On the day he was last seen, he was wearing an orange Ralph Lauren polo shirt, a black North Face jacket, a blue fitted cap, and tan Timberland boots. His family describes him as a vibrant individual, and his sudden disappearance has left a void in their lives. The investigation into Michael Green's disappearance has been ongoing for many years, yet a resolution remains elusive. The Petersburg Bureau of Police is the primary investigating agency for his case. Over the years, his family has made public appeals for information, hoping to uncover any leads that might shed light on what happened to him. In 2012, a potential tip emerged when a woman in Richmond, Virginia, believed she recognized Michael after his photo was shared on a Facebook group. His father, a Mount Vernon firefighter and minister, planned to travel to Virginia to follow up on this and other potential leads, supported by his fire department and church community. Despite these efforts and the passage of time, Michael's case remains unsolved, a painful uncertainty for his family and friends who continue to hope for answers.
