In the months leading up to the holiday season of 2008, Pamela Sue Morrison was navigating a period of immense difficulty. At 52 years old, she found herself without a permanent home in Richmond, Virginia. In an effort to improve her situation, Pamela enrolled in a homeless-to-work program, but for reasons that are not widely known, she did not complete it. Despite these personal challenges, she made it a point to stay in touch with her family, maintaining a connection that served as a lifeline. This regular communication continued until Christmas Day, December 25, 2008, which was the last time her loved ones ever heard from her. After that day, the calls and messages from Pamela stopped, leaving a void filled with unanswered questions and growing concern. When she was last seen, Pamela, also known as Pam, was described as a white female with bright blue eyes and pale eyebrows. She stood 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighed between 125 and 150 pounds. Her hair, which she wore long, was gray or partially gray. A notable physical characteristic was that one of her legs was about an inch shorter than the other. On the day she vanished, she was reportedly wearing dirty blue jeans, a sweatshirt, a baseball cap, and inexpensive cloth shoes. Pamela carried her worldly possessions with her in a backpack and some trash bags. Among these items were pieces of jewelry that held personal significance: a silver unicorn necklace and a silver horse ring. The abrupt end to Pamela's communication with her family on Christmas of 2008 marked the beginning of a long and painful period of uncertainty. Her family, accustomed to hearing from her regularly, knew that her silence was uncharacteristic and a cause for serious alarm. The Richmond City Police Department was made aware of her disappearance, but despite the passage of years, no substantial leads have emerged to explain what happened to her. The case remains an unresolved missing person investigation. The overview of this case is that a vulnerable adult facing homelessness disappeared after her last contact with family on a holiday. Despite having distinct physical characteristics and personal belongings, and her family's efforts to find her, her whereabouts after December 25, 2008, remain unknown.
