In the autumn of 2008, a 43-year-old U.S. Navy veteran named Taveta Michelle Hobbs seemingly vanished from her life in Raleigh, North Carolina. At the time, she was working for a company in the nearby city of Cary and was also training to become a court reporter. The last confirmed sighting of Taveta was by her employer on November 17, 2008.
