In the early morning hours of November 5, 2006, 43-year-old Selwyne Annette Richardson was seen for the last time at her apartment in the Crystal Bay Apartments complex in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Known also by the name Tina Pitts, Selwyne was a mother and grandmother. Concern arose when she failed to arrive at her mother's home to pick up her child as planned. This uncharacteristic absence prompted her family to report her missing. At the time of her disappearance, Selwyne was described as a Black female, standing 5'5" to 5'6" tall and weighing around 150 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. She had several distinguishing features, including pierced ears, tattoos on both of her arms, a scar on her right leg, and another on her left thigh. When last seen, she was wearing a gray and black hair weave in a ponytail. Investigators found Selwyne's apartment locked with no signs of a struggle or forced entry, adding to the perplexing nature of her sudden disappearance. She did not own a vehicle. The investigation soon focused on her ex-boyfriend, with whom she was last seen. A significant and troubling discovery was made when blood belonging to Selwyne was found inside his truck. Despite this finding, her ex-boyfriend has consistently denied any involvement in her disappearance and has never been formally charged in connection with the case. It is known, however, that he was later incarcerated on unrelated weapons charges. Authorities have stated that foul play is suspected in her case. Years have passed since Selwyne Richardson vanished, yet her case remains an active and open investigation with the Tulsa Police Department. Her family firmly believes that she would not have willingly abandoned her three children and one grandchild. The circumstances surrounding her disappearance, particularly the discovery of her blood in her ex-boyfriend's vehicle, point towards a grim conclusion, though definitive answers remain elusive. The official missing person report was filed a few days after her last known sighting, and the case has since been documented by multiple agencies and platforms dedicated to finding the missing. The lack of resolution has left her loved ones in a prolonged state of uncertainty, holding out hope for answers and closure in the enduring mystery of what happened to Selwyne.
