Caleta "KK" Sade White was an 18-year-old on the verge of her senior year at Auburn High School in Washington, with plans to attend beauty college. On August 28, 2006, she left her mother's home in Auburn, intending to visit her boyfriend in the nearby area of Tukwila. After a kiss and a hug, she told her mother she loved her and would call later. That call never came. She was last seen that afternoon boarding the #128 Metro Bus. At the time of her disappearance, Caleta was described as a Black female, 5'1" tall and weighing around 83 pounds, with black hair that had red tips, brown eyes, and pierced ears and a nose. She was reportedly last seen wearing a yellow Adidas jacket, blue jeans, and yellow sneakers or boots. The days following her disappearance were filled with a deafening silence that was deeply uncharacteristic of the teen, who was known to be in frequent contact with her family and lived on her cellphone. There was no activity on her phone after she went missing. Adding to the concern, Caleta missed a doctor's appointment scheduled for two days after she was last seen. The investigation into her disappearance brought to light troubling details about her relationship with her older boyfriend, whom she had met only a few months prior. Authorities discovered that just two months before she vanished, police had responded to a dispute involving the couple. It was also alleged that her boyfriend had been prostituting her in Seattle. The investigation into Caleta's disappearance has been complex and remains unsolved. Her boyfriend, who has a criminal history, allegedly provided inconsistent statements to the police regarding her whereabouts. Despite this, he has not been publicly named as a suspect in her case. Foul play is suspected in her disappearance. Investigators have considered the possibility that she may have traveled to Tacoma, Washington, or even Detroit, Michigan. Over the years, her family has held onto hope, and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children has released age-progressed photos to show what Caleta might look like. The Auburn Police Department continues to seek information from the public, believing that there are people in the community who hold the key to resolving this long-standing case and bringing peace to a family still waiting for answers.
