In the autumn of 1994, a 30-year-old man named John Walter Sallee, also known as 'Jay,' vanished from Mill City, Oregon. The last official date of contact with him is recorded as November 1, 1994. Sallee was known to live a transient lifestyle, often moving between towns and taking on manual labor jobs to support himself.
