On a summer evening in Ardmore, Pennsylvania, 10-year-old Michael Reinert was seen for the last time. It was June 22, 1979, when he, along with his sister Karen, left their home with their mother, Susan Gallagher Reinert. Michael, a young boy with blond hair and blue eyes, was reportedly wearing a Phillies T-shirt and sneakers.
