On a winter day in Hickory, North Carolina, 22-year-old Jerome Louis White was last seen on February 8, 1997. He was at the Center Place Market on South Center Street when he was observed getting into a vehicle with an unidentified white male. At the time of his disappearance, Jerome was wearing a blue ball cap, a green coat, and white Fila tennis shoes.
