In the spring of 2024, concern grew for the welfare of an 80-year-old woman named Jeanette Hazel Day. On the night of May 7th, Ms. Day was staying at a homeless shelter in Medford, Oregon, when she left the facility and did not return. Her departure was unsettling as she left all of her personal belongings behind.
