The last reported sighting of Terry was under distressing circumstances; he was seen being swept westward in the Swannanoa River. At the time of his disappearance, Terry was described as a white male, standing at 6 feet tall and weighing approximately 200 pounds. He had blue eyes and was bald, with a beard.
