On a summer morning in Mint Hill, North Carolina, 65-year-old Kent Reid went for a walk and did not return. The day was June 30, 2023, and his disappearance prompted a significant community and police response. Reid, a Black male, was described as being approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighing around 250 pounds, with salt and pepper hair.
