On November 9, 2024, 19-year-old Victor Castaneda Jr. was last seen at South Pointe Beach in Miami Beach, Florida. He and his younger sister entered the ocean around 6 p.m. when they were caught in a rip current. While bystanders managed to rescue his sister, Victor was pulled under and disappeared from sight.

In the days following his disappearance, multiple agencies, including Miami Beach Police, Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, and the U.S. Coast Guard, conducted extensive search operations. ...
