In August 2024, a 36-year-old woman named Lauren Steele disappeared from Carlisle, Pennsylvania, sparking concern among her family and law enforcement. She was last seen by a friend at a hotel in the area. Lauren, a survivor of human trafficking, was reportedly on her way to a rehabilitation program in Las Vegas to aid in her recovery.
