Emmetta Jean Dumas, a 32-year-old secretary for Alabama Power, was last seen on August 1, 1980, in Fairfield, Alabama. On the day of her disappearance, she had plans to go shopping for shoes with her estranged husband, Leroy, for their infant daughter.
