Lawrence John Powers, a 58-year-old resident of Murphy, California, was last seen on April 9, 2007, in Wickenburg, Arizona. An avid miner with several claims in Arizona, Powers frequently traveled between his home state and Arizona. On the day of his disappearance, he was in the company of his business partner, Anthony Richards, with whom he shared a mining claim known as the Big Nugget near Bagdad, Arizona.
