Fredia Louise Franks, a 45-year-old Native American woman from Neosho, Missouri, was last seen on August 17, 2001. She had embarked on a camping trip with a male acquaintance, 42-year-old Mark Terrell Walsh, and an 11-year-old girl, who was her daughter. The group was traveling in a 34-foot motor home and had stayed at a campground near Table Rock Lake in Missouri before possibly traveling to the Beaver Lake area in northwest Arkansas.
