Jose Alberto Ortigoza, a 26-year-old Mexican national, was last seen on January 24, 2014, at approximately 2:56 p.m. He had just crossed the U.S./Mexico border on foot at the Otay Mesa Port of Entry in San Diego, California. Ortigoza was in the United States to conduct business for his employer, Especies y Granos de Baja California, a wholesale spice company.
