Robert David Peirce, a 76-year-old man, went missing from Palm Springs, California, on December 8, 1998. He was last seen at approximately 3:30 p.m. at the post office located in the Smoke Tree Shopping Center on East Palm Canyon Drive and Sunrise Way. Peirce, who suffered from Alzheimer's disease and could become easily disoriented, was with his caretaker at the time.
