On November 14, 2016, 66-year-old Stuart Edward Savanuck went missing after renting a boat in Jensen Beach, Florida. He departed at 10:00 a.m. from Jensen Beach Boat Rentals, located in the 9800 block of south Ocean Drive, aboard a beige 2007 23-foot Parker center-console boat. Savanuck, described as an experienced boater who had previously owned multiple boats, planned a day of fishing with the intention of heading south. He was scheduled to return the rental boat by 5:00 p.m. that evening.
