On the evening of May 22, 2021, 63-year-old Raymond William Martin vanished after walking away from his family's residence on Bending Creek Trail in Crete, Illinois, at approximately 7:30 p.m. He has not been seen or heard from since. At the time of his disappearance, Martin was wearing a red flannel long-sleeved shirt, blue jeans, and blue slip-on Faded Glory brand gym shoes, size 10, with white soles. Notably, the words "Outside Shoes" were written in black marker on the instep of his shoes.
