On May 26, 2001, 66-year-old Peggy Ann Cottrell disappeared from Marshalltown, Iowa, and has not been heard from since. A resident of the Southridge Nursing Home, Cottrell had been dropped off at the facility by a relative during the early evening hours. Just minutes later, at approximately 6:30 p.m., she was seen running away from the nursing home. Authorities believe that she left of her own accord.
