On July 5, 2004, 37-year-old L.C. Matlock was last seen in Waterloo, Iowa. An acquaintance witnessed him crossing the Mullen Avenue Bridge on west Mullen Avenue, after which he was never heard from again. His sister, Josephine Matlock, also reported seeing him walk across the bridge and disappear into the distance. At the time of his disappearance, Matlock was wearing a white Denver Broncos Terrell Owens jersey, blue jeans, and black Nike sneakers. He is described as a Black male, standing 6'2"
