Jaquarin Demarko Scott, an 18-year-old from Davenport, Iowa, was last seen on March 25, 2017. On that evening, at approximately 6:30 p.m., at least one witness saw Scott on the Centennial Bridge. He was observed throwing his backpack over the bridge, climbing the rail at midspan, and then jumping into the Mississippi River.
Following the incident, police and firefighters were dispatched to the scene and initiated a search and rescue operation. They were able to recover Scott's backpack
