On the morning of July 2, 1987, 64-year-old Faris William Gore was last seen in Atchison, Kansas. He departed from his residence at approximately 7:30 a.m., driving his silver 1983 Volkswagen Rabbit with a diesel engine. Gore was observed traveling east on Highway 59. At the time of his disappearance, he was reportedly extremely upset.
