Joanne Gladys Garr, a 30-year-old mother of two, was last seen on November 24, 1971, in Dearborn Heights, Michigan. Her disappearance occurred the day before Thanksgiving, and she subsequently failed to attend planned holiday celebrations. Garr had arranged to meet her first husband, Robert Ross, on Thanksgiving morning to take their children, who were in his care, to a parade in downtown Detroit.
