On October 25, 1996, at approximately 7:30 a.m., 67-year-old Charlie Neely was last seen near his truck at the Panther Swamp Wildlife Refuge in Yazoo County, Mississippi. An avid and experienced hunter, Neely had planned to go squirrel hunting with a partner. He instructed his partner to proceed into the woods while he finished preparing his hunting gear.
