On the evening of October 9, 1976, 17-year-old Teresa Joanna Gossage and Alfred Hoffman Marshal, also 17, disappeared from Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. The two were students at Waynesville High School and the children of officers stationed at the military base. They had gone on a date in Alfred's car, leaving at approximately 7:30 p.m., and were never seen or heard from again.
