In the spring of 2023, concern began to mount for 53-year-old Michael Shawn Owens, a military veteran and father who was last seen on March 11, 2023. His last known communication was a phone call to his brother, in which he stated he was traveling north on Interstate 49, heading towards Harrisonville, Missouri, for a court hearing.
