Louis Hernando Reyes, a 23-year-old man, went missing from the Harlem Valley Psychiatric Center in Dover, New York, on November 10, 1989. He was a voluntary patient at the facility, receiving treatment for a mental disability. At approximately 7:00 p.m., a staff member went to Reyes's room to get him for dinner and discovered he was gone. The last confirmed sighting of him had been two hours earlier. At the time of his disappearance, Reyes was wearing a blue or gray sweatshirt and jeans.
