In December 1996, four-year-old Brent Nicholas Hughes, his twin sister Brenttany, his older sister Sarena Glenn, his mother Robby Ann Floyd, and his maternal aunt Jennifer Hughes vanished from their home in Fayetteville, North Carolina. The family's disappearance was not reported to authorities until August 1998, nearly two years after they were last seen. This delay was attributed to Robby's infrequent communication with her relatives.
