On December 28, 2002, 32-year-old George Velez and his 27-year-old cousin, Christian Maldonado, vanished after heading out for a night on the town. The two were last seen at Maldonado's home on South 27th Street in Camden, New Jersey. They reportedly left from there to go to a nightclub in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and were never heard from again.
The cousins were planning to visit a now-defunct exotic dance club called Dangerous Curves, located at 5921 Tacony Street in Philadelphia.
