On September 24, 1996, 39-year-old Ronald Kemble McKeever, known as "Roni," was at his sister's residence on Saddlefield Road in Columbia, South Carolina, when he received a phone call and subsequently left on foot; he has not been seen or heard from since. His direction of travel after leaving the home is unknown, and no friends or family have reported contact with him since that day. At the time of his disappearance, McKeever was described as a Black male, 6'0" tall, and weighing 160 pounds.
