In the late autumn of 1987, a sense of quiet unease settled over the community of Harrison, Tennessee, with the disappearance of 34-year-old Francis D. Crownover. Known to her friends as Sandy, she was last seen on November 26, 1987. At the time, she was living with her boyfriend, Joseph Duenas, in a residence on Pythian Drive.
