Five-year-old Joseph Clyde Daniels III, who was autistic and non-verbal, was reported missing from his home in Dickson, Tennessee on April 4, 2018. His father, Joseph Ray Daniels, called 911 around 6:30 a.m., claiming he and his wife, Krystal Daniels, had discovered their son missing from his bed about an hour earlier and had searched for him before contacting the authorities. He suggested that Joe, who had a tendency to wander, might have unlocked the door and left the house during the night.
