Marguerite Erin Hoffman, a 76-year-old retired nurse, was last seen at her home on Shelby County Road 26 in Alabaster, Tennessee, sometime between November and December 1989. At the time of her disappearance, she was in poor health and was going blind. Her husband had passed away three years prior, and her only child, 56-year-old John Louie Hoffman Jr., had moved in with her just three weeks before she went missing.
