On September 17, 1961, nine-year-old Lana Lynn Lee was with four other children in eastern Kane County, Utah, when she tragically disappeared. The group was in the Waheap Wash, east of what was then called Glen Canyon City looking for rocks and shells. That day, the area was hit by a major rainstorm, which led to a flash flood in the usually dry wash.
