On October 1, 2014, 30-year-old Barkad Ilyas Hassan and another man, Hamza Okie, were seen in front of a Dollar Tree store in the 1500 block of Sam's Circle in Chesapeake, Virginia. This was the last time either of them were seen or heard from. Their disappearance remains unresolved, with very few details available to the public regarding the circumstances of their cases.
At the time of his disappearance, Barkad Ilyas Hassan was described as a Black male with black hair and brown eyes.
