On May 6, 1979, 38-year-old Donamae Bourgeois Bayerl disappeared from her home on Fennimore Lane in Muskego, Wisconsin. Her husband, John H. Bayerl, told police they had an argument, and she left in the family car to cool off. He claimed that after he went to bed, he heard a car return and someone moving around downstairs, leading him to believe it was Donamae. However, he then heard another car drive away.
